Adjustment

A core element of a Chiropractic treatment is the adjustment, which has nothing to do with the popularly known term “setting” (for instance a dislocated shoulder is set).

During the adjustment, targeted and gentle impulses are applied to release blocked vertebrae/joints, to bring them back into the correct position and to stabilize your body. The nervous system can function again, undisturbed and the self-healing powers of the body are activated.

The muscular and skeletal system functions as a unit; in addition to adjusting the joints, the Chiropractor also treats the muscles, tendons and ligaments with various manual techniques.
